4-1 Lateral Modes
HDG SEL
The selected heading is displayed in the HDG SEL window above the rotary knob and the heading
can be set by the knob.
When the HDG SEL button is pressed, the plane turns automatically to the selected heading.
NAV
The NAV mode flies through the FS GPS flightplan.
The NAV button can only be pressed, when the GPS/NAV switch is in the GPS position.
VOR/LOC
The VOR/LOC mode flies the airrcaft on the radial of the NAV1 VOR station and on the OBS heading.
The VOR/LOC button can only be pressed, when the NAV/GPS switch is in the NAV position.
Approach
The Approach (APP) flies the aircraft down the glideslope and the localizer.
